BC’s Drug Experiment: 8,000 Dead in 3 Years

BC decriminalized drugs in 2023 promising a “health-focused approach.” Three years later, 8,000 people have died from overdoses. Every day, 7 to 8 people die. Hastings Street is occupied. Hospitals are collapsing. Police don’t intervene. Drug gangs sell freely.

The federal government stepped in and restricted BC’s powers. Nothing changed.

No one resigned. No one held accountable. Premier David Eby says they’re “still reviewing.” How many more have to die?
