📢 IMMIGRATION LOOPHOLE: CRIMINALS USING REFUGEE CLAIMS TO AVOID DEPORTATION

Premier David Eby is fighting Ottawa over a loophole that allows extortion suspects to stay in Canada by filing refugee claims.

🔍 THE NUMBERS:
• 281 total extortion suspects identified
• 104 of them have filed refugee claims (MORE THAN 1 IN 3)
• They’re using the system to DELAY or AVOID deportation

🗣️ Eby is demanding the federal government pass Bill C-12 to close this loophole.

“These are people who have been arrested, charged, and are before the courts for extortion,” Eby says. “They should not be protected by Canada.”

❓ QUESTIONS WE’RE ASKING:
– How many more criminals are using this loophole?
– Why is Ottawa not acting faster?
– What happens to victims while suspects remain in Canada?
